DENTAL IMPLANTS

Millions of Americans lose teeth every year due to tooth decay, gum disease, or injuries. Sometimes, tooth extraction is necessary to prevent further infection or damage to your teeth. One of the best ways to replace missing teeth is with dental implants.

Implants have permanent artificial tooth roots that are implanted into the person’s jaw. This allows them to act and feel much more like natural teeth. At We Care Dental, we have multiple dentists who specialize in dental implants and provide excellent results for many patients each year.

We often recommend dental implants because they have a more natural look and a more comfortable fit than other solutions like dentures and bridges. Our doctors have completed a specialty course on dental implants, so he is especially well-qualified in this area of dentistry.

How Do Dental Implants Work?

The first step is for the dentist to “implant” a titanium post into the patient’s jawbone in the socket of the missing tooth. As it heals, the person’s jawbone then grows around the implant.

A small connector post, called an abutment, is then attached to the titanium implant, and then an artificial replacement tooth, or “crown,” is placed over the top. The result is a very natural-looking tooth that will last for years. We use the latest oral surgery techniques to ensure precision and reliable results.

These are often a preferred alternative to dentures. However, our denture care center also offers denture services to help you talk and eat more comfortably.

How Much Do Dental Implants Cost?

Dental implants can be more expensive than other options, but they are also regarded as the safest treatment option for certain cases.
